This is one of those generic restaurants that you book when you need a big table on a Saturday night, so shouldn't expect anything too elaborate. But it should be better than this.
With places like this, it's best to order the stuff that doesn't need much actual cooking. I ordered the antipasti which was plastic meats and a cheese that looked like feta, was probably supposed to be mozarella, and tasted like ... plastic. Then I had a steak which, to be fair, wasn't bad, although "rare" turned out to mean "medium to well done". Frozen chips, but not the worst.
SO that was it. I avoided pudding which was just as well as sticky toffee pudding turned out to be a kind of commercial muffin with a thin treacly sauce. Everything was edible and I wasn't paying so can't complain.
